Children spend dedicated time in our large garden where a variety of outdoor experiences get them connecting with nature.
A calm and nurturing home from home with spaces that meet the needs of our babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers.
Children assist in serving healthy home cooked meals together in a warm and inviting space.
Our hybrid approach means that children at Wilmere Lane Nursery School can reach their full potential at their own pace and in their own time.
Healthy snacks and delicious fresh food are cooked every day by our onsite chef using local and seasonal produce when we can. Children experience new flavours and look forward to favourite dishes while older children help in our kitchen.
Every day at Wilmere Lane we encourage children to be inquisitive and imaginative in our wonderful learning environment. In doing so, they soon develop a real love of learning and a curious mind. For over 20 years we鈥檝e welcomed, taught and cared for children who go on to spend many happy years imagining, discovering and exploring with us.

The exploratory play allows her to use her imagination which has brought on her speech and language skills and allows for more creative play. The rooms are homely and comforting, the staff are so kind and caring, always answer my questions when needed and the
use of the online diaries are fantastic. I love seeing little photos every day of my daughter happy. Would recommend to anybody, a real home from home, nourishing and caring environment for little people.

It is a safe, welcoming, home from home, stimulating place full of amazing staff who truly care about all the children. My son attended the nursery from 10 months until he moved onto school. My daughter is now at the nursery and thoroughly enjoys every day that she is there. The nursery has made so many positive changes to the environment and the style of provision that is offered to the children. Staff are provided with regular training to develop their skills which clearly benefits the children's experiences. I have always felt a part of the Wilmere Lane family and will be sad to say goodbye when my daughter moves onto school.
Warm and calming, our baby room offers so many opportunities for this age group to develop and learn through multi-sensory experiences and gentle play. Our trained early years educators will help your baby learn and develop new skills, from standing to walking and talking.
After a busy morning of exploring and learning, there鈥檚 time to recharge. We know how important naps are, and make sure that when they need it, children can sleep.
As their story begins to take shape, growing toddlers are given the time and space to be more independent, discover and learn. Children make friends, learn to play alongside each other and become more aware of the world around them. Our experienced educators encourage language development too, starting with simple sounds and building to sentences.
Toddlers follow a general routine with free play sessions, snack time and stimulating activities to ignite their imaginations and deepen their understanding of the world around them. And when tiredness takes over, they can take a rejuvenating nap in our beds or on sleep mats.
With growing confidence and ability, we prepare our preschool children for the learning journey ahead with a focus on phonics, numbers, social and technology skills.
Children spend their final years at Wilmere Lane getting ready for primary school with lots of opportunities to make their own choices. We work closely with local schools to make sure their transition to them is a smooth and happy one.
By this time, they have made firm friendships and leave us as independent, curious and confident learners, ready for the next chapter of their own story.
Amidst all that learning, there鈥檚 plenty of time for play with games, creative activities and outdoor fun.
If children prefer some time away from the hustle and bustle, our quiet area is equipped with reading books and spaces to complete homework.
Whether it鈥檚 breakfast to start the day or a hearty meal after school, all of our nutritious food is freshly prepared daily.
